MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review

I love trying and testing foundations in hope to find 'The One'.  Along the way i will be reviewing different foundations to tell you my thoughts :).  This foundation is priced at £23.00 and you get 40ML which is more than the average foundation,so not too bad for what the price is. The packaging is a screw top lid with a 'squeezy bottle' type dispenser.  This foundation is a gel based foundation it has a lovely creamy consistency and blends really nicely on the skin.  I blend this is with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush, this makes it super quick to apply.  It has a dewy finish which i like also the foundation has SPF 15 which is always good.  I would say this is a medium coverage but defiantly buildable.  MAC describes this foundation as creamy and luxurious which i would agree with it feels exactly that and makes your skin look flawless :).  Ok now for the bad points...... i do find this foundation does not last on my skin which really sucks because i love the way it looks when its first applied.  I don't know why, i may need to use a primer. When i look at my makeup at the end of the day it just looks like the foundation isn't there anymore.  Also it has a weird smell almost like paint which could put people off.  I am in the shade NW20 .

A Hair Crisis

So last week i washed my hair like i usually do, using all the same products, same shower lol.  After i'd finished blow drying my hair i ran my fingers through it and on the crown area of my head it felt greasy.  It didnt make sense id JUST washed my hair and it was feeling greasy!?  I just thought 'I might of not washed my shampoo and conditioner out properly' .  So two days pass and time to wash the barnet again, so this time im really making sure im washing my hair thoroughly.  Blowdry my hair and STILL greasy, i was getting pretty annoyed thinking WHY ME  hahaha so dramatic :).  Suddenly it clicked, i had experienced this last year, it could only be 'Product Build Up'  this is when a collection of serums, hair treatments basically anything you put in your hair builds up and creates a greasy texture.  I remember buying a Pantene Pro V clarifying shampoo before and it worked great.  So i went straight to Asda to purchase it,  and just my luck they didnt stock it :)  But i then came across the 'Herbal Essences Fresh Balance'  shampoo.  On the bottle it says its a clarifying shampoo with citrus blossom and green tea extracts, it cleans to help reveal natural shine.  I used it last night and my hair is back to normal again :) it smells really good and did exactly what i wanted it to,  my hair feels really clean and looks shiny too!

Current Lipstick Faves

Viva Glam Cyndi on the Left and Snob on the Right

I've always loved wearing lipstick and ever since buying my first lipstick, which was shamefully Barry M's Marshmallow (the most whitest nude colour ever!) about 2 years ago my obsession started.
I go through lipstick 'stages' :P so one month i could be loving a nude then the next a brighter option.  But recently i have been non stop wearing two Mac lipsticks, one is Viva Glam Cyndi which is a lustre finish and Snob which is a Satin finish.  Viva glam cyndi is so moisturising yet gives a really good colour pay off, its a coraly red but a really wearable red for the daytime or night.  Snob is not as moisturising as Cyndi as its a satin but is really pigmented, its a mauve pink but i'd say it has a slight purple undertone.  I do think it suits me better when i have a slight tan though.
If any one has any good lipstick recommendations please say :)
Thank you

Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation Review

I have recently bought the Jemma Kidd Light As Air foundation with hearing such good things from Tanya from Pixi2Woo on youtube.  This foundation is AMAZING,  i have the shade 03 light/medium and i purchased it from Feel unique.  I believe its around £20-£25.  The foundation is a matte finish with a pretty runny consistency which could get messy but i'm not really bothered,  it blends like a dream and is quite a yellow based foundation which i really like. I apply it with my Topshop foundation brush and i would say this foundation is definitely medium coverage.  One of the things i love about this foundation is stays on my skin all day.  The packaging is abit naff and nothing special but hey ho.  I would definitely recommend  this to any foundation lover!  Personally this is the best foundation i have ever tried and i think i will be re-purchasing this for a very long time :)

With the foundation on :)  and yes i have rollers in :p
